Bio-bitumenBitumen is one of the key ingredients required to make roads and pavements. It is the binder that holds together the gravel and other aggregates.
It is derived from crude oil and imported by most countries around the world. It has a carbon footprint of approx. 0.5 ton per ton of bitumen. Farmed Carbon’s bio-bitumen can be used as a partial replacement for traditional bitumen. Every ton comes with a high quality carbon credit of approx. 1.5 ton, enabling, for the first time, carbon neutral or even carbon negative roads. |
Phenolic ResinHigh Pressure Laminate panels or Compact Laminate is a new environmentally friendly building material that can be used on surfaces, walls, doors and roofs both internally and externally. It is superior to other materials in terms of fire, chemical and thermal resistance. It is currently produced from trees and fossil oils. Farmed Carbon has developed a carbon negative Phenolic Resin which can be used to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of the panels. We also have ambitions to replace the wood in the panels with kraft paper derived from Rice Waste using environmentally benign Organosolv pulping

Carbon black is used to improve the performance, durability and lifespan of tyres making it a key ingredient. But the current crude oil-based methods for making Carbon Black are disastrous for the environment.
Farmed Carbon has developed a carbon negative Carbon Black from the Pyrolysis oil of Agricultural Waste. It is homogeneous and available at the same price as Fossil Oil derived Carbon Black |
